Beaumont Morgan ready to fly on #FortisQuay
Beaumont Morgan are delighted to announce that our partner Fortis Developments have obtained planning permission for Furness Quay, within Salford Quays. The plans have been unanimously approved by planners, subject to the execution of a section 106 agreement. This exciting development, to be named Fortis Quay, will consist of 5 high specification blocks creating in excess of 750 luxury apartments and will rise to 27 stories, which once built, will be the tallest building in Salford.
The 2 existing buildings, formerly used as offices, have permission already to convert and extend, with Custom House rising from 6 stories to 10 stories and Furness House from 11 stories to 17 stories.
The 640,000sq.ft, Fortis Quay will include a gymnasium for its residents, on site concierge and car parking, as well as extensive grounds with landscaped avenues, a neighbourhood square, recreational space and children’s play areas.
P+HS & Box are Architects involved in the scheme with structural engineering by Mott McDonald & ELLUC Projects. Services engineering has been undertaken by FHP & BWB with landscape architecture by DEP. Beaumont Morgan will commence the works in the summer with a completion set in 2019.
The planning application has been approved further to a re-submission at the request of the planners. Amendments to the application were made in respect of the public realm space in order to enhance the community experience within the development.
Beaumont Morgan are delighted at the decision to approve the planning application for the Fortis Quay development and look forward to commencement and delivery of the works.
