New residential property venture in Salford Quays

16th November 2016

Located within the heart of Salford, Fortis Quays will be the largest residential scheme to date constructed by Fortis Developments. The property will feature a private gymnasium, a pedestrianised garden avenue with a complementary streetscape, and a neighbourhood square.

The proposed upcoming development, Fortis Quays, will be constructed to include five residential blocks comprised of 759 apartments. Constructed from two former office buildings, Custom House and Furness House, Fortis Developments will extend the storeys of the original buildings to create the body of the Fortis Quays development. Each office building has conversion permission for residential use and the property will also feature an additional 27-storey tower, 13-storey H-shaped block and 8-storey L-shaped block. Fortis Developments proposes that the Custom House office building will be extended from the current 6-storeys to 10-storeys, while the Furness House office building will be extended from 11-storeys to 17-storeys.

Kieran Moore, Director of Fortis Developments states, ‘the apartments will help to meet the strong demand in and around Salford which is driven by the growing importance of Media City UK’ and ‘the new developments will focus on a high-quality specification and scheme management whilst also creating community areas. This luxury development will enhance the already vibrant landscape in Salford Quays’.
